Introduction to TEEP
In 2015, Taiwan’s Ministry of Education launched the Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP) to encourage more international students to participate in short-term professional internship projects organized by domestic universities and colleges. TEEP also allows international students to gain in-depth educational experience in Taiwan, while also preparing themselves for the Asian job market. An increasing number of outstanding universities and colleges in Taiwan now offer TEEP@AsiaPlus – short term professional and research internship programs for 500+ outstanding international youths to experience Taiwan’s quality higher education and make personal connections with the Asian job market. TEEP programs are also available in the emerging fields such as ICT (Information Communication Technology), Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain Technology, Semiconductors, 5G Wireless Communications, Advanced Manufacturing, Smart Manufacturing, Robotics, Green Energy, Biosensors, Logistics Management, Molecular Biology, Smart Health Care, and Mandarin Language Training or Cultural Experience Courses. Internship + Chinese During the internship program, students who major in all areas will have an opportunity to learn about the companies (or industries) and to experience its international business operations and the developments of companies (or industries). Moreover, the students will be expected to participate in various areas in their companies in order to prepare themselves when the students get into the business world in advance. There will be various job placements according to the students’ specialties. In addition to internship, the Chinese learning, cultural immersion and high quality dormitory service will be included. The cultural immersion program is designed to help the internship students learn Chinese language and understand Taiwanese culture for the students to be successfully adapted in Taiwan during their internship period. |
